BambooHR is an established HR platform, strongest in the United States. Both products cover time off, hiring and reviews. The main difference is payroll: BambooHR's payroll runs in the US, while Staffvelo runs it for the UK, Ireland and Kosovo — with the ATK EDI file — and adds team chat, project boards and a school edition.

BambooHR may suit you better if most of your people are in the US, where its payroll runs, or if you need its wider marketplace of US integrations.
Teams in the UK, Ireland or Kosovo — or across them — that want payroll, time off, hiring and reviews on one record per person, a messenger the whole team uses, and a price per person that doesn't change with add-ons: £4, £7 or £12. Private schools get the whole school edition on every plan.
